“Newnan” : A Documentary in Experimental Archaeology. FlintKnapping and Atlatl Hunting

Newnan , is a documentary & study in the practical application of archaic stemmed points in the southeast and Florida. In this video we work through the flintknapping manufacture and hafting process, and then put it to the test while hunting wild hogs with the atlatl.

Ryan Gill is a professional Builder and Primitive hunter with a special interest in both experimental and recreational archaeology. Ryan works in conjunction with Professors of Anthropology at FSU, UTC, and Texas A&M, recording and providing data for future study.
