Scaffolding Arguments with Evidence using CER

This talk introduces two activities that help ELL students in an International Baccalaureate History class access arguments using Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning. It explains how to help students understand the primary differences between presenting evidence and using evidence to prove an answer. Separating out the differences between Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning are looked at along with an associated rubric and documents.
