Using Youth Media as a Primary Source – Jobson, Butler, and DeGette | The OC for Social Studies

OER Conference for K-12 Social Studies | Track Talk: Young Citizens

Using Youth Media as a Primary Source to Spark Dialogue, Inquiry, and Action

Digital Promise’s 360º Story Lab supports students to use immersive storytelling and design to share their perspectives and inspire action on issues they care about. At a time when youth leaders and student activists are speaking out for social justice, we sat down with two media educators to talk about what it means for students to be making history, not just reading about it. For more youth-produced stories from around the world and ideas on using youth media in the classroom, visit global.digitalpromise.org/360-story-lab.
